1000 islands
Last Saturday, I spent an enjoyable day with my sister, her husband and my husband. We travelled from Syracuse/Liverpool to Alexandria Bay. We went on a boat tour to see some of the 1000 islands and Boldt Castle. We took the Uncle Sam's tour called Millionaires Row. It was really quite enjoyable. We sat on the top deck and could see a lot. I took a multitude of pictures which I haven't uploaded to my computer yet. Hopefully, I will do that soon and add some to the blog. So, we ventured into Canadian waters a little as well. We saw two islands that have a footbridge between them. One is in the USA and the other in Canada. The same person owns both. We saw a slew of islands. Some with houses, others without. We went on the St. Lawrence River.
We also went to Boldt castle which has a whole story behind it. It was fascinating. It is beautiful. The intricacy of details in the woodwork and furniture is quite amazing. The castle has never been lived in.
We went past Deer Island which has it's own secrets.
If you are ever in that area, I'd highly recommend the tour.
